To get a premium account, you pay per month $6.88 (student), $11.99 (individual) and $17.99 (family). The cost is equivalent to US$ if you are in the UK, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.
YouTube Premium offers a free month of ad-free access for new individual, student or family plan subscribers. You must enter valid credit or debit cards. Make sure you allow for recurring billing at sign up.
You can cancel anytime within the month for no fee. if you forget to cancel, you'll be charged the monthly fee, so it is important that you cancel the subscription before the month ends
How to register for YouTube Premium
To register, go to the YouTube Premium website and signed up as a student, individual or family. Enter your personal details and credit card details as prompted on signup. Set your payment to the recurring payment option.
You'll receive a one-month free trial.
In the first month of the YouTube Free Trial, you will have unlimited free access and receive the benefit reserved for the YouTube Premium members.
If you want to continue, do not do anything but check your bank statement for payment to YouTube. If there is a deduction, that means that you are now a YouTube Premium Account holder. You can re-set the recurring payment and enjoy the second month.
If you decide NOT to continue after the first month, you can cancel your FREE subscription before the end of the first month at no additional charges.
